The Internet is great for many things, but one of the best things about it is the ability to have access to cute animals 24/7. Some of these animals are so cute and so unique, they’ve become viral sensations!

Here are ten of the top viral Internet pets of all time.

1. Grumpy Cat

Tarder Sauce is a grumpy feline with an eternal frown. But rest be assured, she is a very happy, very loved pet; her appearance is due to an under bite and a condition called feline dwarfism. Her adorably sour expression caused her to become Internet famous. Pictures of her face with grumpy phrases such as “I had fun once. It was awful” have been circulating the Internet since 2012.

2. Boo the Dog

Boo the Dog is one of the most popular dogs on the Internet. 17 million Facebook followers get to glimpse his adorable face every day. Part of Boo’s charm is his trademark short haircut. Boo has his own book, published in 2011, called Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog. He was born in the San Francisco Bay area and lives with his owner, Irene Ahn.

3. Waffles The Cat

Waffles is a Scottish Fold kitten with a love for waffles. He has his own Tumblr page, where he lists his hobbies as people watching, playing, and licking. Waffle’s huge eyes and adorable folded ears help make him popular on the Internet; he currently has over two million Facebook likes.

Marnie is a shih tzu with a miracle of a backstory. She was found by Animal Control in Connecticut in August 2012 and moved to a shelter. After four months in the shelter, a user on adopted her. She thrived with her new owner and became a happy, healthy dog. Her lingering head tilt is from a brief illness she suffered from called vestibular syndrome, and her tongue is just long. Her new owner, Shirley, embraced Marnie’s unique appearance and the Internet did too! Marnie is the most popular rescue dog on Instagram with almost a million followers.

Tuna is a Chiweenie that has garnered Internet fame with his adorable overbite. He was rescued from the streets of San Diego after being abandoned by his original owner. Today, he goes on many adventures and wears many adorable outfits. His owner, Courtney Dasher, uses Tuna’s popularity to contribute to animal rescue groups. Tuna has a book called Tuna Melts My Heart: The Underdog With The Overbite.

6. Mishka the Talking Dog

Mishka the Husky gained popularity after a video of her appearing to say “I love you” to her owner went viral on YouTube. Since then, her owner has uploaded other videos of her saying various phrases. She has close to a million YouTube followers.
