1. Piedmont Park – Just northeast of downtown, this park is the perfect place to take your dog! With a dog park inside that offers off-leash fun, it is one of the most popular pet spots in Atlanta. Piedmont’s dog park includes a nearly 3-acre dog run, separate enclosures for large and small dogs, new trails and landscaping, and benches and restroom for pet owners. The park also hosts fun events like the Doggie Dash 5K Run/Walk. This run through the park with your pet helps raise money to benefit the dog park, while giving you a fun day out with your dog.

With lots of live music, food trucks, vendor booths, and mini-dog parks, Boxerstock is a perfect place to take your dog in Atlanta. While Boxerstock is only a once a year event, it is definitely something to plan for if you are in the area. All proceeds from the festival go to Atlanta Boxer Rescue.

3. 4th & Swift – This southern style restaurant in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward is the perfect spot to stop at with your dog. 4th & Swift’s pet-friendly patio allows you to enjoy their delicious dishes while your dog enjoys a bowl of water right next to you. Known for their culinary greatness, 4th & Swift offers more than just incredible cuisine. They offer you a fresh, pet-friendly place to eat in the city!

All dogs must be on a leash, but the views and adventure are worth it. 5. Bark in the Park – Every year the Atlanta Braves put on Bark in the Park at Turner Field. This event allows you to purchase baseball tickets for both you and your dog. For $32 you receive tickets one admission ticket, a canine ticket, and a Braves leash for your pet! This event is a perfect opportunity to enjoy one of Atlanta’s most popular summer activities with the company of your dog.
