Thinking about adopting a reptile? Even if you\u2019re not, maybe you should consider it! Reptiles are great for teaching kids and first time pet-owners the basics of taking care of animals.<\/p>\n

Here are the top ten reasons why you should adopt a reptile.<\/p>\n

1. There are many different kinds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe you want a reptile with crazy colors like the False Tomato Frog or one that can camouflage like the Yemen Chameleon. There are so many options to choose from that it\u2019s hard to settle on just one.<\/p>\n

2. Each one is unique.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every reptile has his or her own little quirk, ability or fun fact. Some have really cool patterns on their bodies, others are nocturnal, and there are even some that can reproduce all on their own!<\/p>\n

3. You learn interesting facts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Owning a reptile means learning some facts about their living conditions, behavior, etc. These facts can make for interesting conversation starters.<\/p>\n

Since they\u2019re in their tank, they won\u2019t be tearing up furniture or leaving droppings on the floor. There\u2019s no need to worry about major clean ups except in the tank.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll hardly have to worry about company being allergic before they come over for a visit.<\/p>\n

9. All the activity they need is in their tanks.<\/strong><\/p>\n
