This week we\u2019re featuring Washington D.C., where you can explore the capitol\u2019s historic landmarks, beautiful gardens, and restaurants that make sure you and your dog are satisfied!<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bringfido.com\/attraction\/354\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Mall<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National Mall is an iconic part of Washington D.C. with a handful of landmarks to check out like the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and FDR Memorial.<\/p>\n<p>Not all of the monuments allow dogs up close, but feel free you take your dog sightseeing on this two-mile stretch of historic attractions. As long as they\u2019re on a leash, you can enjoy the gardens, pathways and ponds that this 446-acre attraction has to offer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2009\/08\/20\/AR2009082003269.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Art &amp; Soul<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Art &amp; Soul is a Southern-inspired restaurant with traditional food like fried chicken, mashed\u00a0potatoes and grits. The best part? They not only allow dogs, they cater to them!<\/p>\n<p>Art &amp; Soul\u2019s Pooch Patio Menu offers drinks, appetizers and entrees. Dogs pick between granola, cakes or biscuits for the appetizer. For the main entr\u00e9e they can either have steak, beef tips or frozen raw bones. More of a marsh than a park, this place is a bit smaller and not as crowded, with beautiful plants like lotus flowers and water lilies.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re up for a garden that\u2019s quieter and offers different plants and wildlife, Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is definitely worth trying.<\/p>\n<p>Popular trails that you and your dog should also try include<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bringfido.com\/attraction\/8765\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Rock Creek Park<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bringfido.com\/attraction\/trails\/city\/washington_dc_us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Capital Crescent Trail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/metromuttsdc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Metro Mutts<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After all the walking and exploring, treat your dog to Metro Mutts!
