Welcome to Featured Rescue Friday, a weekly series where we share with you an awesome rescue that should be on your radar. This week we are featuring the amazing rescue, Angels Among Us<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Angels Among Us is an extraordinary animal rescue based in Tennessee that saves animals from high-kill shelters. Their biggest mission is to inform people about the dangers of animal overpopulation, to encourage people to spay or neuter their animals, and adopt from shelters.<\/p>\n

Each animal they rescue is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested and treated if positive, made current on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. They have a variety of breeds up for adoption and house their animals through foster parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cRescue is honestly the hardest, most heartbreaking thing I\u2019ve ever had to do,\u201d says Danielle Constable, a former foster parent for Angels Among Us. \u201cBut it\u2019s also the most amazing and rewarding experience I have ever been a part of. It has brought me so much joy and I never regretted a day of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their policy is \u201cno dog left behind\u201d and they do not discriminate against old or disabled dogs. My dog, Lexi, was rescued by Angels Among Us; she was one day away from being put down. Now she has found her \u201cfurever\u201d home with my family and me. In fact, the rescue\u2019s online guestbook is brimming with positive responses from families like mine who adopted dogs:<\/p>\n

Angels Among Us\u2019 site has a couple neat components to it. There is a \u201cHappy Tails\u201d section where they highlight happy endings for their pets that have found their \u201cfurever\u201d homes. Another unique features is their \u201cRainbow Bridge.\u201d The Rainbow Bridge pays beautiful tribute to animals that have passed and allows you to donate in memory of a certain pet.<\/p>\n
