From the famous Rose City Classic in Oregon, to British Columbia\u2019s Pacific Kennel Club Show, this is a list of the best, most popular dog shows in North America\u2019s beautiful Pacific Northwest region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. According to the show\u2019s website, the Rose City Classic spans five days and includes representatives of <a href=\"http:\/\/rosecityclassic.org\/about-us\/\">around 185 diverse dog breeds<\/a>. One of the most popular dog shows in the U.S., the Rose City Classic is the perfect show for spectators of any age. From grooming, obedience, and specialty performances and demonstrations to four days of all-breed dog shows, where dogs from across a wide range of different breeds compete for the title of \u201cBest in Show,\u201d the Rose City Classic easily earns its place at the top of this list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seattle, Washington\u2019s biggest and best dog show was started by the Queen City Dog Club in the 1890s; since then, the Queen City Club has been renamed as the Seattle Kennel Club, or SKC, and become an American Kennel Club member club. The SKC\u2019s shows are held once a year in the spring\u2014in 2017, the show was held over the weekend of March 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> on Seattle\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centurylinkfield.com\/\">Century Link Field.<\/a> From obedience contests, agility shows, and herding demonstrations to junior showmanship and vendors selling dog-related goods and services on-site, the <a href=\"https:\/\/seattledogshow.org\/\">Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show<\/a> has it all. Although you\u2019re not allowed to bring your own dog to the show unless they\u2019re registered to compete in any of the events, the SKC show provides plenty of opportunities to admire and cheer for some of Seattle\u2019s greatest show dogs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-3238 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/AgilityDogJumping-300x280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/AgilityDogJumping-300x280.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/AgilityDogJumping-768x717.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/AgilityDogJumping.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another annually-held show worth checking out is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.olympickennelclub.com\/\">Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show.<\/a> This year, the show spanned four days from August 17<sup>th<\/sup> to the 20<sup>th<\/sup>, and included a variety of diverse shows and trials to challenge participants and entertain spectators. With on-site vendors selling dog-friendly goods of all kinds, and plenty of space to park RVs for attendees wishing to stay overnight, this show, held in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enumclawexpo.com\/\">Enumclaw\u2019s Expo Center<\/a>, is a fantastic way to spend a day (or four!) From incredible agility trials to frisbee, water retrieval, herding, and obedience shows, the \u201cfifth largest dog show in the U.S.\u201d is definitely worth checking out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Pacific Kennel Club Show<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The only show on this list that doesn\u2019t take place in the United States is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pacifickennelclub\/\">Pacific Kennel Club Show.<\/a> It is held at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hazelmere.ca\/\">Hazelmere RV Park and Campground<\/a> in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. This year, it took place in July, spanning four days from July 27<sup>th<\/sup> to the 30<sup>th<\/sup>. After twenty-two years of hosting events, the Pacific Kennel Club is another gem among Pacific Northwest kennel clubs. Apart from the many opportunities and activities that the Pacific Kennel Club Show offers participants and spectators, it also gives new dog show judges the chance to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacifickennelclub.com\/\">obtain their judging licenses<\/a> by judging shows at the four-day summer event. Washington State Fair\u2019s AKC Summer Dog Show<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Held every summer in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefair.com\/facilities\/overview\/showplex\">Mattress Firm Showplex<\/a> at the state fair in Puyallup, Washington, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefair.com\/fun\/details\/akc-summer-dog-show\">Washington Fair AKC Summer Dog Show<\/a> spans three days and includes a broad range of activities and spectacles for participants and onlookers alike.
