Located in the Fremont neighborhood, it’s easy to get to from any part of the city. With nightly specials known as the “doggy bowl” and dog-themed décor on all the walls, Norm’s is the perfect place to take your dog for an authentic Seattle eating experience.

2. Marymoor Off-Leash Dog Park

The only reason that Marymoor Park isn’t at the top of this list is that it’s not technically in Seattle. It’s in Redmond, which is part of the Greater Seattle Area. It’s easily accessible from Seattle, though, so dogs and dog owners visiting or living in the Emerald City don’t have to drive far to get to it. The dog-friendly portion of the park is known as “Doggy Disneyland” for many reasons. It’s 40 acres of off-leash fun for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. Dogs can swim in the fresh-water Sammamish River, run down trails, chase each other across fields, or relax in the comfortable shade of the park’s many trees. When I was a kid, my parents used to take me and the family’s two dogs, Cisco and Indy, to Marymoor for hours of excitement and games. Indy, who was easily the fastest dog in the park at the time, would goad the other dogs into chasing him until everyone with four legs and a snout was on his tail.

4. The Elliott Bay Book Company

I’m a dog owner and a total book lover which means I know that when it comes to Seattle bookstores, you can’t do better than the Elliott Bay Book Company. If you’re in Seattle and you’re looking for a dog-friendly place to hang out and read a broad variety of novels, magazine, children’s books, cook books, and comic books, this is paws-down the best place to go. The bookstore is at the heart of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and, apart from being one of the hardest places to find parking, it’s the ideal location to hang out and read with your pet. There’s even a cute little coffee shop nestled into the back half of the store!

4. Magnuson Off-Leash Dog Park

Magnuson Park is a 350-acre park located in Northeast Seattle, on the western shore of Lake Washington. The off-leash part of the park is the largest off-leash area in the city. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments come together in the beautiful, fenced 8.6-acre dog park to play and socialize. Aside from being the biggest off-leash area, Magnuson Park has several other fine features that put it at the top of the “dog-friend Seattle” list. Inside the main dog park, there are special areas set aside for smaller and shy dogs to hang out without worrying about larger and more rambunctious dogs. Magnuson is also the only park in Seattle where dogs can splash and play in the waters of beautiful Lake Washington. It’s a great place to socialize for dogs and dog owners alike!

5. Posh Paws Dog Groomers

After a long day of exploring the Emerald City, your dog would love to get a spa treatment at the legendary Posh Paws grooming salon.
