On #GivingTuesday, we decided we want to make the holiday season\u00a0an amazing time\u00a0of giving back so from now\u00a0through December 25th, you can\u00a0be part of our giving spree and enable us to help more animals in need!<\/p>\n<p>In addition to giving back 50% of our profits this month, we want to give an additional $500 to one lucky animal\u00a0shelter or rescue\u00a0and we need your help to do it! Here&#8217;s how you can help us reach our goal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For every new Sitting for a Cause signup, we will donate $1 to\u00a0an animal rescue or shelter. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/register.php\" target=\"_blank\">Sign up today<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>For every job booked through Sitting for a Cause through\u00a0December 25th, we will donate an additional $5 on top of the 50% of our profits we give to homeless pets. Search for a sitter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sittingforacause.com\/search_advanced.php\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u00a0have not yet selected a\u00a0rescue or shelter\u00a0to be the recipient of our give-a-thon donation yet but\u00a0want you to share with us which rescue or shelter\u00a0you think could benefit from a donation this holiday season! From now until December 15th, you can share with us your suggestion\u00a0by:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Leaving a comment on this article<\/li>\n<li>Emailing us at info@sittingforacause.com<\/li>\n<li>Leaving a comment on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SittingForACause\/\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook page<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Tweeting us at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sitting4acause\" target=\"_blank\">@sitting4acause<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>On December 16th, we will reveal the 5 shelters and\/or rescues\u00a0that were suggested to us the most frequently\u00a0and poll our users, readers, and social media followers, letting our awesome supporters pick the charity that receives our donation.<\/p>\n<p>Get out the word, tell your family and friends to sign up today and be sure to book your next pet sitting job through our site to help us reach our goal of giving an additional $500 to help animals in need by the end of 2016!<\/p>\n<p><em>Terms:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>A new Sitting for a Cause signup means someone who is not currently or has not previously registered\u00a0for our site.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>To be eligible for this promotion, jobs booked through our site must:<\/em>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Be booked and escrow funded by 11:59pm PST on December 25th, 2016.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Jobs do not need to be completed by December 25th to be eligible. They can be completed anytime after December 25th so long as they are booked and escrow funded by 11:59pm PST on December 25th, 2016.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Jobs that are cancelled or not completed will not be eligible for this promotion.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><em>Based on new signups and jobs booked through our site through December 25th, 2016, we\u00a0will donate up to $500 to a charity TBD.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>You have until December 15th, 2016 to share your suggestion of an animal shelter or charity you think should receive a donation from us.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>On December 16th, 2016 we will announce which shelters and rescues\u00a0were suggested the most frequently and allow our users, readers, and social media followers to vote in a poll to determine which shelter or rescue receives\u00a0the donation.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>If there is a tie to make it into the finals or to win the donation, random.org will be used to randomly select who makes it to the finals or who receives the final donation.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are getting in the giving\u00a0spirit here at Sitting for a Cause!
